Did you keep a baby book with your little ones?
We didn’t… instead, I took(take) photos… lots of them 🤣
In the mini’s first year I did a photo a week, with each photo I’d record memories from that week. The following year it was once a month, and the last 2 years I’ve done it at 6month intervals. I think I’ll continue til next year when she turns 5 (WHAT!). Then perhaps make a keepsake book with it.
For the most part, my memory is shocking, but give me an image and it connects straight away. This is why I’m a sucker for the Timehop app, Facebook memories, and the 1SE app. 1 second a day videos are amazing rabbit holes that now even the mini gets sucked into. Which reminds me I really need to get back into this year’s compilation so far.
I have my personal instagram feed linked to Chatbooks its perfect for someone like me who has a to do list and automatically prints small paperbook albums perfect for little hands.
This is my 3.5 year old wrapped up in the blanket I had hung to take photos of her in front of. While ideas may never go to plan, it’s still a memory of Monday afternoon playing in the late afternoon sunshine.
What’s the point of me posting and sharing today? I’m not really sure, but in these uncertain times, I hope we can still all find some sunshine in those late afternoon days that seem to go on forever.
